Happy Holidays!
We have worked hard together over the last year to make lives better for working people. For many, 2021 has been even harder than 2020. Yet, as a community we’ve continued to show up day after day, week after week, to fight for justice in the form of fair wages, safe working conditions, police accountability, tenant protections, and a more inclusive democracy.
Movement work takes commitment, endurance, and lots of labor. We could not do this work without the support of our community. From all of us at CPI, thank you for continuing to inspire us and for your leadership in this fight.
This holiday season, we hope that you take time to rest and spend time with those you love. The CPI team will be taking a break December 23rd through January 3rd to rest, reflect and recover. We are wishing you and your loved ones a wonderful holiday season and a new year full of love and joy. We will see you in 2022, ready to continue the fight for working families.
Warmly,
The CPI Team

We are currently accepting applications for our 2022 Students for Economic Justice (SEJ) fellowship program. The SEJ fellowship is a full-time, $16/hour, 6-week program that empowers the next generation of social justice leaders through leadership and professional development opportunities. This fellowship is open to current undergraduate students at a 2-year or 4-year institution.
Please help share this opportunity with students in your network. The deadline to apply is Friday, February 25th, 2022.

On December 14, 2021, the San Diego County Independent Redistricting Commission voted to approve the final map that will be used to establish electoral districts for the County Board of Supervisors for the next ten years.
For months, CPI and our partners in the county redistricting coalition have advocated for the fairest, most equitable map possible. We are grateful to our partners in the coalition and to everyone who showed up, called in, and left e-comments in support. Check out our blog to read more about key wins and changes to the county maps.
