Our Executive Director Kyra R. Greene talked to NBC 7 about why we need to pay people not to work in order to ensure we are all safe:
“So many of the jobs in San Diego that are low-wage jobs are jobs that require folks to have face-to-face contact with the public. I have been so disappointed by the number of people who say you can’t pay people not to work. During a pandemic, sometimes the safest thing you can do is pay people not to work.”
