Video: Juneteenth is a labor holiday

On June 16th, 2026 CPI co-hosted a Juneteenth Kickoff event with the San Diego Black Worker Center, and SDEA. At the event we discussed the ties between slavery and the oppression of workers–Black and non-Black–today.

ICYMI see the presentation given by our Executive Director, Kyra R. Greene, discussing how the fight for emancipation is also a fight for workers’ rights.
