In partnership with authors & long-time labor advocates, Kelly Mayhew and Jim Miller, as well as the UCSD Labor Center, the San Diego and Imperial Counties Labor Council, and the Community Wealth Building Coalition, the Center on Policy Initiatives is hosting a night of reflection, learning, and celebration for the 20th anniversary re-print of Under the Perfect Sun and the new addendum, Beyond the Theme Park – two key volumes that capture the history of the labor movement and progressive politics in San Diego.
