KPBS Midday Edition

February 17, 2026

I remember that I am personally descended from a woman who must have stood in a new land taken from our home. She woke up. She was never going to see her family again. And when I say our history, I think that Black history is the history of all of Americans, of all Americans. So we have that history to depend on and to know that we are part of an ongoing struggle, and we can win because we have before.
