On Monday, May 4th, the Community Budget Alliance showed up in force to demand a People’s Budget, a city budget that invests in the programs and services that help San Diegans thrive.

San Diego Mayor, Todd Gloria, released his proposed budget for the City of San Diego and like many of you we’re angry, but unfortunately not surprised. Year after year Mayor Gloria has decided to put our money into policing and incarceration instead of the programs and services that our communities need.

We came together to tell the City Council to stop the cuts, reclaim money from police and invest in what really makes us safe and thrive.
