On April 6, 2021 the Community Budget Alliance (CBA) hosted the second part of our conversation about redefining public safety. Panelists talked about how investing in communities and community care is what makes us safe.

On March 9, 2021 the Community Budget Alliance hosted a conversation about what it means to democratize power.
Youth and immigrants must be integral in the decision-making. The online conversation broke out into groups where community members shared their thoughts and visions for building a more transparent and community-led government.
On March 2, 2021 the Community Budget Alliance coalition held a conversation discussing the racialized roots of policing. Panelists spoke about how policing policies are fueling mass incarceration and exploiting incarcerated people for their labor.

On February 18, 2021 the Community Budget Alliance hosted a community forum about the City of San Diego budget.
During the forum we discussed where the money comes from, where our money is spent and how we can advocate for a People’s budget in the City of San Diego.
