Celebrating Equity and Visionary Leaders: Thank you for joining us!

September 25, 2019

That’s a wrap on our 2019 Leadership Development programs! Thank you to all who supported our programs throughout the year and to all who joined us in celebrating the Students for Economic Justice (SEJ) and Boards and Commissions Leadership Institute (BCLI) Fellows last week.

Our keynote speaker, Councilmember Monica Montgomery, reminded the SEJ graduates: “The power is in your hands to make changes. Don’t allow anyone to silence you.” To the BCLI fellows Councilmember Montgomery shared “We need more diverse perspectives at City Hall. Not just to be the voice but to help us change the system so that it can work for us.”
