Anjleena Kour Sahni joined CPI in 2017, after graduating with honors from the University of California, San Diego with a degree in International Studies-Political Science. Anjleena earned her Master of Public Administration and a Certificate in Public Policy from the University of Southern California Sol Price School of Public Policy.
Before joining CPI, Anjleena worked as a research assistant for Professor Tom K Wong, focusing on projects related to the executive actions on deferred action for undocumented immigrants, sanctuary jurisdictions, and civic engagement of immigrants and their families. At CPI, she has previously led coalition building and management for both the City Community Budget Alliance and County Invest in San Diego Families coalition. Currently, her work centers around community-based policy research, development and advocacy on issues including local budgeting, worker justice, contracting, anti-privatization, and good governance.
Anjleena is committed to work that brings together community partners and makes bureaucratic systems more accessible to communities that have historically been excluded from policy- and decision-making.
